The Housing Collective Announces Heidi Green as Chief Development and Communications Officer
With more than 15 years of experience, Green will lead strategy and development efforts to support Connecticut’s housing and homelessness response systems
BRIDGEPORT, CONN. (August 3, 2026) – Today, The Housing Collective, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening Connecticut’s housing systems through regional collaboration, announced the appointment of Heidi Green as Chief Development and Communications Officer. In this role, Green will lead the organization’s development strategy and cross-channel communications, focusing on expanding resources, strengthening public engagement and supporting a network of more than 200 partners working to advance housing solutions across Connecticut.
A dedicated champion of collective impact for social change, Green brings more than 15 years of executive leadership in institutional advancement, strategic marketing and policy advocacy for systemic change. Throughout her career, she has generated more than $3 million in philanthropic support and helped organizations translate complex policy and programmatic information into compelling narratives that inspire investment and action.
At The Housing Collective, Green will bring together strategic communications, donor engagement and equity-centered storytelling to increase support for affordable housing solutions, strengthen community trust and build the organization’s long-term financial capacity.

Prior to joining The Housing Collective, Green served as Associate Dean for Institutional Advancement at CT State Community College Gateway and as the college’s liaison to the Gateway Community College Foundation. In that role, she led fundraising, communications and alumni engagement while overseeing the distribution of more than $160,000 in student scholarships, emergency assistance and faculty grants.
